DOUBLE CHOCOLATE PROTEIN BARS


Don’t you think it’s MUCH better to do your own protein bars than buying them? Of course! Specially if they are this easy to make!

Most of the protein bars you find in the supermarkets nowadays are full of extra fats, sugars, additives.... and yet people consume them too much!!

So please, try to make you’re own, you’ll see it’s not that difficult :)

It was the first time I made these so they’re smaller than I would like, because let’s be honest…protein bars are always so yummy that you want them to be big and with lots of protein!!

Thus, these are the perfect snack when you’re craving something sweet… and you don’t even need an oven because they don’t need to be baked, therefore… they’re VEGAN as well!

DIABETIC DIET TIP

These protein bars are the perfect snack AS LONG AS your sugar levels are stable or about to start going down. The reason is, these protein bars are covered with a small amount of white chocolate, small but is still white chocolate!

Therefore, always remember that in a high sugar situation, do not consume sweets that contain ingredients that might prevent to stabilize your blood sugar.

INGREDIENTS

▪️1/2 cup almond butter
▪️1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
▪️3 scoops chocolate protein powder
▪️1/4 cup cacao powder
▪️2 tablespoon coconut sugar
▪️1/3 cup almond milk
▪️Optional: white chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon coconut oil for covering them or as a topping

STEPS

▫️Line a 9x9” brownie pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
▫️On a bowl, mix the wet ingredients until everything is fully combined.
▫️Add the dry ingredients to the wet untill fully incorporated.
▫️Mixture should be thick and fudgy, like cookie dough. Scoop the mixture into the brownie pan and flatten it out.
▫️Tightly cover the mold with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
▫️Lift the mixture out of the pan. Slice into 6 mini bars.
▫️Optional: cover in white chocolate as desired!

* In order to keep them firm, it’s better you store them in the refrigerator.

🇪🇸 Spanish:


INGREDIENTES

▪️1/2 taza mantequilla/crema de almendras
▪️1/2 cucharadita de extracto de vainilla
▪️3 scoops proteína de chocolate
▪️1/4 taza de cacao 100% en polvo
▪️2 cucharadas de azúcar de coco
▪️1/3 taza de leche de almendras (podéis usar la vuestra! es muy fácil de hacer, colgaré receta pronto)
▪️Opcional: pepitas de chocolate blanco con 1 cucharada de aceite de coco para recubrir las barritas o como topping.

 
PASOS

▫️Colocar papel de horno en un molde cuadrado de 18cm.
▫️En un bol, mezclar todos los ingredientes líquidos juntos.
▫️Añadir el resto de ingredientes y mezclar todo junto.
▫️Debería crearse una masa con la que poder trabajar con las manos, como una masa de galletas. Aplastar la masa por toda la base del molde (1cm de grosor más o menos) hasta que quede bien firme y recta.
▫️Cubrir el molde y dejarlo en la nevera toda la noche.
▫️Sacar la masa del molde y cortar en 6 trozos iguales en forma de barritas.
▫️Opcional: cubrir con chocolate blanco si se desea!

* Para que las barritas se mantengan firmes, es mejor conservarlas en la nevera.
